Banstead Bunnies Preschool

A unique and welcoming setting providing a stimulating environment to advance your child’s development.

What we do

We provide early years education for children aged 2 to 4 years old.

EYFS

EYFS is the Early Years Foundation Stage. It is a curriculum designed by the Government’s Department of Education and regulated by Ofsted. It provides a structured pathway to develop children in readiness for full-time education. Each child at Bunnies completes their own fully documented Learning Journey during their time with us.

Muddy Bunnies Outdoor Learning

We provide Outdoor Learning at
our setting, giving children a chance to
explore and learn about the
natural world around them. Children develop their assessment of risks and how to navigate their surroundings safely, learning a variety of outdoor skills whilst enjoying the benefits of nature.

“Nature is a tool to get children to experience not just the wider world, but themselves.” – Stephen Moss.

Outdoor activities

We have a flexible outdoor space where learning is combined with energetic play

Sensory activities

Children have their senses challenged with a number of vibrant sensory resources

Reading time

The Bunnies library is well stocked and children can even borrow books to take home

Inclusion

Children spend time looking at and learning about a variety of different cultures, religions, ways of life, and people, and incorporating this into their play.

Exploring nature

We have our own beautiful and secure woodland area for children to explore.

Role Play

Children have the opportunity to step into character roles with each other

Testimonials

We were told how good your pre-school was when we were looking for somewhere for Wilfred all that time ago, and if anything you’ve exceeded the high expectations we had.  What makes Bunnies so special is the effort that you and your team make for the families you support, always going the extra mile.  Where else would we have got home visits for behavioural support and advice, and the emotional support that you’ve all given us throughout the past five years? I’m so grateful for everything that you have done, and continue to do, for us as a family.

I just wanted to send a note to say thank you for everything you guys do at Banstead Bunnies. Our daughter absolutely loves going to preschool and looks forward to going every day.  We are so pleased that she has settled in so well and been getting positive feedback from her key worker on the Baby Days system. The additions of photos of the system is really helpful, as we usually get some details about her day from our daughter, but we find out a lot more from the photos.  It looks like you have lots of different activities every day.

Please say thank you to your team.

The staff here are fantastic. As parents we get everything we could hope for. Bringing our son to Bunnies was the best decision we have made for him so far ! He is absolutely thriving with his Key Worker.

“I have just been looking at the photo gallery of my lovely boy having such a wonderful time. We are so pleased he is in such a brilliant session – it is rare to find a team of such consistently fabulous staff, and we are very grateful!”

My son was one of the first Bunnies that they had on her register. He was so well looked after, had fun, made some great friends and I had the confidence to go to work to build my own business knowing he was safe. When the time came for him to leave and go to school, he did so in a confident, well adjusted and balanced manner – that was mainly down to the wonderful staff and his Key Worker at Bunnies. Being the eldest in the academic year they ensured he was challenged, not pushed, and recognised his need for learning. Communication between parents and Bunnies staff has always been exceptional. He said the two best things about Bunnies were the teachers and Forest School
