Friday December 13th – Christmas nativity sing song day – 11am – this is where children dress up in any Christmas themed outfit, we sit on the stage and sing a selection of songs for all the parents and grandparents (if they want to come). It is a busy event and generally standing room only for many. There is a normal preschool morning session from 9am for those children who attend on Friday’s, and then we ask everyone else to come for 11am (children in costume ready). After our songs, which takes about 10 minutes, we then sell tea and coffee and juice, mince pies and biscuits as refreshments and we run fundraising raffle, which is then drawn. After the songs your child will be given to a parent/carer who is attending and they will then be your responsibility and you can choose refreshments together. If there is no-one attending and your child is normally in session, they will remain with a member of staff throughout this period, until collection time.
All money raised goes to new equipment. Everyone is invited and nearer the time staff will be checking if you plan to come, so we know who to expect and we don’t start without anyone.
Friday 20th December – Bunnies Children’s Christmas Party. – 9.30-11.30am – (please note the times) – All children are invited, even if you do not normally attend on Friday’s, to a morning of fun, dancing and games with our Christmas Elf and Staff. Party dresses or Christmas jumpers is generally the attire worn, there are no messy play/games. Children have a little party buffet of food towards the end of the morning, which we will ask families to donate near the time. After the party Bunnies closes for the Christmas break. Parents do not need to stay with their child during the party.
Throughout December children will be involved in Christmas crafts and activities, however not many things will come home on a daily basis, they will stay at preschool until the Christmas party after which your child will then bring them home in a folder.
